How do I rotate my integration’s client secret?

Confidential OAuth application secrets periodically expire and require rotation in both the external application and the integration maintained by Connect. To rotate the client secret in Connect:

1. Coordinate with the OAuth application administrator to rotate the expired client secret. Similar to the process for initially setting up the integration, the external OAuth application administrator needs to communicate the updated client_secret to the Connect administrator.

2. Update the client_secret of Connect’s integration with the rotated credential. This can be done through the System>Integrations tab in the Connect dashboard, or through the Connect Server API.

Do I have to use OAuth authentication with Connect to use integrations with other services?

No. Integrations can be used with any of Connect’s authentication methods.
