The Posit Snowflake integration provides:

Installation paths
Depending on your organization’s setup and goals, there are several ways to run Posit products securely inside Snowflake’s managed container environment. Use the guide below to determine which path fits your needs:
1. Posit Team on Snowflake (recommended)
Follow the steps to configure the Posit Team Snowflake Native App.
The Posit Team Native App includes:
- Posit Workbench Generally Available
- A cloud development environment for data scientists. Learn more in the Workbench documentation.
- Posit Connect Public Preview
- A publishing platform for the work your teams create in R and Python. Learn more in the Connect documentation.
- Posit Package Manager Private Preview
- A repository management server to organize and centralize R and Python packages across your team, department, or entire organization. Learn more in the Package Manager documentation.
Administrators choose which products to install.
2. Workbench only (single app)
Follow the steps to configure the Posit Workbench Snowflake Native App.
If you only need Workbench for development and analysis, you can install it as an independent Snowflake Native App. In the future, Posit will ask that users of the Workbench Native App migrate to the Posit Team Native App.
3. Migrate from Workbench to Posit Team Native App
Follow the steps to migrate from the Workbench Native App to the Posit Team Native App.
If you have already deployed Workbench in Snowflake and want to expand to the full Posit Team experience, migration is simple and preserves your existing environment.
Snowflake OAuth integration
Workbench and Connect both support secure OAuth authentication with Snowflake. This capability is available to all product installations; it does not require a Snowflake Native App deployment.
