Known limitations

End of life: December 2026

The Posit Workbench Native App reaches end of life at the end of December 2026. Posit will remove the listing from the Snowflake Marketplace. You will no longer have access to Workbench Native App installations. Migrate to the Posit Team Native App to continue running Workbench in Snowflake.

AWS PrivateLink and Azure Private Link support

The Workbench Native App does not support AWS PrivateLink or Azure Private Link. Support for AWS PrivateLink and Azure Private Link is only available within the Posit Team Native App. Please see the AWS PrivateLink and Azure Private Link documentation to get started.

Tri-secret secure support

The Native App supports Tri-secret secure, except for block volumes. This is a Snowflake limitation.

Scalability

The Workbench Native App supports multiple single-node deployments for up to 25 users per application and 10 applications per account.

Local network shares

The Workbench Native App operates entirely within Snowflake Snowpark Container Services (SPCS), which does not support access to local network file shares. This is a Snowflake limitation.
