Early Access
Early Access features are new capabilities that are offered on an opt-in basis. These features may be restricted to certain license tiers or require specific entitlements while they are Early Access. We value user feedback on these features to help us refine and improve them while they are in this stage.
Early Access features are covered by the standard Support Agreement. To contact the Posit Support team, see our Support documentation for information such as how to open a support ticket.
Workbench identity federation
When both Connect and a Posit Workbench instance are using OpenID Connect authentication from the same single sign-on provider (SSO), administrators can configure Connect to trust Workbench users’ identity automatically. This eliminates the need for separate Connect credentials when publishing from Workbench.
Users may need to update the rsconnect package (for RStudio Pro) or the Posit Publisher extension (for VS Code and Positron) to enable this.
For setup instructions, see the identity federation section of the Admin Guide.
Node.js content
Node.js content support allows publishers to deploy Node.js applications to Posit Connect. While Node.js is in Early Access, administrators must opt in to enable the runtime.
Use the EarlyAccess.NodeJs configuration property together with NodeJs.Enabled to enable Node.js content. See the NodeJs configuration section for additional Node.js settings such as executable paths and environment management.
For installation instructions, supported versions, and known limitations, see the Node.js section of the Admin Guide.
For details on deploying Node.js content, see the Node.js section of the User Guide.
