Rich Link Previews
When you share a link to public content, it now shows up as a rich preview card in Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, WhatsApp, Telegram, LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Bluesky, Mastodon, and Reddit.
The preview uses the title and description from your content’s settings, along with its automatically generated thumbnail. Content without a thumbnail or description gets the Connect Cloud icon and a default description instead. If your content already sets its own Open Graph tags, Connect Cloud leaves them in place.
Only public content gets a preview. Links to private content, including private share links, never reveal the content’s title or description.
Favicons
Content that doesn’t provide its own favicon now gets the Connect Cloud icon, in the browser tab and next to the link in previews. Static content can include a favicon.ico to replace it. Applications such as Shiny, Streamlit, or Dash need to declare their icon in the page <head> at a path other than /favicon.ico.
