Invitation Expired Error

If you are trying to invite a user to your shinyapps.io account and they receive a message that the invitation has expired, there are a few things to keep in mind.

Check the Invitation Timeline

Invitations sent to new users expire after 7 days and are deleted after 21 days. If the user is trying to accept an old invitation, you’ll need to send a new one. Re-invite the User

If you’ve already tried re-sending the invitation and the user is still getting the “invitation expired” error, try this instead:

  1. Remove the existing invitation entirely.
  2. Then, send a new invitation to the user.
