Abstract

Large file uploads for Support tickets

Description

Support tickets and emails have a file size limit that can prevent you from sending large files to Posit Support. Use the following URL to upload files up to 250 MB:

https://posit-support.shinyapps.io/upload/

If you need to send large files to Posit Support, then compress the files first to reduce size and transmission time. We support compressed tarballs and standard zip files.

Solution

  1. To compress a diagnostics report on your Posit server, run the following, adjusting the filename ([ID]) as needed: tar czf diagnostics-report-[ID].tar.gz diagnostics-report-[ID].txt
  2. Access https://posit-support.shinyapps.io/upload/.
  3. Enter your ticket ID in the Ticket # field.
  4. Select Browse to locate the file you want to upload.
  5. Select your compressed or zipped file and click Open to upload the file.

You will receive a confirmation when the file has successfully uploaded.
