Large file uploads for Support tickets
Description
Support tickets and emails have a file size limit that can prevent you from sending large files to Posit Support. Use the following URL to upload files up to 250 MB:
https://posit-support.shinyapps.io/upload/
If you need to send large files to Posit Support, then compress the files first to reduce size and transmission time. We support compressed tarballs and standard zip files.
Solution
- To compress a diagnostics report on your Posit server, run the following, adjusting the filename (
[ID]) as needed:tar czf diagnostics-report-[ID].tar.gz diagnostics-report-[ID].txt - Access https://posit-support.shinyapps.io/upload/.
- Enter your ticket ID in the Ticket # field.
- Select Browse to locate the file you want to upload.
- Select your compressed or zipped file and click Open to upload the file.
You will receive a confirmation when the file has successfully uploaded.
