Use Workbench in Snowflake
The Workbench Native App does not currently support running with PrivateLink.
The Workbench Native App currently is currently only supported in AWS cloud regions.

Overview
Running Posit Workbench as a Snowflake Native App gives data scientists access to the development environments they love, including RStudio, Jupyter, and VS Code. Workbench runs within Snowpark Container Services and provides a seamless installation on Snowflake, giving developers immediate access to a fully contained service within the Snowflake environment.
Requirements
Use of Posit Workbench within Snowpark Container Services requires an Advanced tier license for Posit Workbench.
The ACCOUNTADMIN
Role (Snowflake AccountAdmin role details) is required to install Posit Workbench as a Snowflake Native Application.
Getting started with Posit Workbench Native App
Accessing Workbench
Once you’ve installed the Workbench Native App you are able to access the service and share it with users.
- Visit Data Products > Apps and click Posit Workbench.
- Click Launch app
- Follow the sign-in instructions. You will be prompted to login using the authentication method configured for your account. See Snowflake Authentication documentation for more information.
- You are directed to the Posit Workbench landing page after you successfully sign-in.
Admins may direct users to access the app through the Launch App button in their Snowflake accounts, or users can be sent the service URL directly.
